Dental Implants Wakefield. Dental Implant Treatment to replace missing teeth.
WAKEFIELD DENTAL IMPLANTS - who can benefit?
Whether you are young or old, just missing one tooth or have no teeth at all - dental implants could make a very dramatic difference to the way that your mouth feels, looks and functions.

Treatment with dental implants could give a tremendous boost to your comfort and self-confidence. Implants are not prone to decay and are considered to be the "gold standard" treatment for missing teeth in many situations.

Data available on early implant systems has now shown cases functioning successfully for over 25 years and the technology involved in implants has continued to develop and improve even further. Unlike conventional bridgework, dental implant treatment does not involve destructive procedures to adjoining teeth. Additional stress to neighbouring teeth is avoided.

Reasons to have your implant treatment performed at our surgery!

  • Our Wakefield dental team is fully experienced in single and multiple tooth replacements as well as overdenture cases.

  • We only employ modern main-line implant systems backed by good clinical data.

  • We always issue a written treatment plan before your treatment proceeds to ensure that you fully understand your treatment options together with the full cost implications.

  • We offer quality dental treatment with competitive fees.

  • We are an established friendly local practice - an important consideration for any aftercare requirements.

  • The standard of our work is widely recognised and we can offer implant guarranties under the CIGNA and Europe assistance schemes.

What is an Implant?
A dental implant is usually a small metal screw which is placed in the upper or lower jawbone where the natural teeth have been lost. Implants are made from pure titanium which "integrates" with the surrounding bone to provide a firm foundation for the replacement of missing teeth.

Once the implant is integrated with the bone (a process known as osseointegration) it is ready to carry a tooth or other structure. Implants can replace teeth individually or help stabilise poorly retained dentures.

How many implants do I need?
This depends on the problems you are experiencing. Implants can be used to replace each individual tooth, to replace several teeth supporting a bridge, or they can be used to anchor your denture.

Treatment with Intra-Venous sedation

There is no need to worry about the surgical phase of your implant treatment, as this can be provided with the aid of Intra-Venous sedation without any additional cost. Intra-Venous sedation is an extremely successful, popular and safe procedure for the treatment of nervous patients. It is particularly useful for patients undergoing a one-off surgical procedure, as in implantology. Of course, some patients prefer to undergo treatment with a local anaesthetic alone.

Cost

As each individual's requirements are different, the cost will vary depending on complexity and the number of implants required. After a consultation, a written report detailing the treatment plan with all estimated costs will be prepared for you to consider before treatment begins.

Getting started

  1. The first stage is a full examination of your mouth including taking X-rays.
  2. A report detailing suggested treatments is discussed with you.
  3. Implants are placed and allowed to heal for 3 to 6 months.
  4. Implants are uncovered and left for a further 2 weeks.
  5. Impressions are taken.
  6. Your final Crown, Bridge or Denture is fitted.

This whole process is carried out at our own Dental Implant Clinic by Dr Mark Willings.

DENTAL IMPLANT PROTECTION
As a patient of Horbury Dental Implant Clinic, we are delighted to provide you with the option to protect your treatment, for the first 12 months, following placement of your implant £2,500 per implant of protection for remedial treatment, resulting from a failure to integrate or extra oral accidental damage (an impact from outside the mouth) that damages either your implant or attached prostheses.

The cost of this protection is per implant as follows: £75.00 (1 to 4 implants), £65.00 (5 -6 implants), £60.00 (7-8 implants), £55.00 (9 implants) and £50.00 (>10 implants).

Before the anniversary of your treatment, you will be contacted by Beaumonts Dental Consulting Limited and provided with the opportunity to cover your treatment for a further 12 months.
