Horbury Dental Care Team Event 2018 – Rough Runner
This summer some of our team crossed the Pennines to participate in a fun team event known as ‘The Rough Runner’. The event was held at a beautiful location in the country just outside of Manchester.
The team fought through the game show themed obstacle course as if they were participants of the famous 90’s show Gladiators. Francois won top trumps dressed as our mascot Mr Toothpaste! We fought through muddy pools and triumphed the travellator, whilst some of our staff were totally wiped out! We even managed to capture most of the action on Francois GoPro!
Look out for the video coming soon. We love a challenge at HDC and can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for us.

A Big Thank You!
Every year people across the UK take part in Macmillan Coffee Morning to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Last year they raised a massive £29.5million and this year we wanted to help them raise more.
In September we held our annual Macmillan coffee morning. Our team bought and baked their favourite biscuits, cakes and snacks to raise money for this fantastic cause. One many hold close to their hearts.
A stall was created in the reception area to display the tasty treats, but our patients really were the icing on the cake by helping us to raise money for this fantastic cause.Every coffee morning helps make a huge difference to people facing cancer.
Donating money to Macmillan provides:
- Funding for Macmillan Nurses
- Providing cancer information
- Helping with financial support like grants and advice.
- The Macmillan Support Line
- Cancer patients to be where they need to be for care and support.
