Our Community Involvement
Supporting our local community is at the heart of what we do. Each year we partner with schools, sports teams, charities, and community groups to make a positive and lasting difference.
Supporting Local Schools
We are proud to work closely with Horbury Junior & Infants School and Silcoates School to help educate, inspire, and support young people.
Primary School Engagement
Our team regularly visits local primary schools to:
- Teach children about healthy lifestyles and the importance of a balanced diet
- Demonstrate how to clean their teeth correctly
- Explain why looking after their teeth is essential for long-term health
These sessions are fun, interactive, and designed to help children develop healthy habits from an early age.
High School Support
At high school level, we provide:
- Careers talks to introduce pupils to different roles within healthcare and dentistry.
- Work experience placements, giving students practical insight into the workplace.
- Guidance to support pupils in making informed career decisions.
We are committed to helping young people build confidence and gain valuable experience as they plan their futures.
Local Sports Sponsorship
We are proud supporters of grassroots sport in our community.
We currently sponsor Horbury Town, covering the cost of team kits and helping young players enjoy and progress in the game.
In previous years, we have also sponsored Ossett Town Juniors, further demonstrating our commitment to supporting local youth sport.
Supporting Local Schools
Each Christmas, our team comes together to collect food, toiletries, and essential items for The Resource Food Bank at Christ Church South Ossett.
These annual collections provide vital support to individuals and families facing hardship during the winter months, ensuring help is available when it is needed most.
Annual Community Events
Every year we also enjoy taking part in the Horbury Craft and Street Fair, engaging with local residents and celebrating the community spirit that makes our area so special.
This year, we have chosen to support a local initiative by providing a free Christmas lunch for elderly members of our community, helping to bring people together and ensure no one feels alone during the festive season.
Our Charity of the Year 2025/26 – Shine 21
Our chosen charity for 2025/26 is Shine 21 – a Yorkshire-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with Down Syndrome.
Shine 21 offers incredible support to children and families through:
- Physiotherapy and early intervention sessions
- Feeding clinics
- Play sessions and developmental support
- Close collaboration with local hospitals and schools
Their mission is to give every child the tools, confidence, and support they need to thrive, and we are proud to help raise funds and awareness for the amazing work they do.
This year our team took on a couple of events with an aim to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause. This year’s chosen events included:
- Completing the Manchester 10k
- Hosting a relay static bike ride, with team members cycling throughout the day
